Aku NS 564 Navy Seal - Desert

The infamous AKU Navy seal boot is a lightweight, responsive, low profile boot for use in hot and dry conditions. Highly breathable with an Air8000 upper and Sanifit lining reduces sweat build-up, giving the wearer all-day comfort - these boots do not have a Gore-Tex lining so not waterproof above the rand line.

The Aku NS 564 is a super-lite multi terrain boot. Developed in conjunction with the US Navy Seals, this boot is a tough, rugged all-rounder and with NO Gore-Tex liner it makes it perfect for European backpacking and travel. Now a favorite with our own 'Armed Forces'. The breathability is superb, leaving your feet comfortable all day and your socks almost dry at the end.

Using a Vibram Swot Outsole the NS 564 is great for scrambling as well, it has great edging capabilities and a flat area at the toe for good friction. The internal Sanifit lining wicks away moisture produced by your foot at a very fast rate. Although the NS 564 has a slim-line midsole Aku's internal midsole keeps your feet comfortable mile after mile, and the tough Bycast Rand offers great protection from rocky paths.

Low Profile Vibram sole unit, and internal EVA cushioning keep the Navy Seals as light as possible without sacrificing strength - tough enough for Special Forces worldwide.

I have the original OTB (Over The Beach) version of this boot. I bought it when I tried to replace my KSBs which cannot be found in Canada, at least no non-Goertex ones. They are absolutely superb. I would have not bought my Hanwags (which replaced my old worn-out Scarpas) if I had had these first. ... » more...
