Walked pretty much the length of New Zealand with these boots for 7 months, through swamp, bush, over alpine, through rivers and down roads. These boots are just the job; I have completed the Coast to Coast walk wearing these boots. I found them to give plenty of support around the ankle; the sole gave plenty of grip across the different types of terrain.
