Not only do I keep one of these in my backpack (which regularly gets wet through), I have one in the front pocket of my motorbike jacket. The abuse that it gets is frankly insane - imagine sticking this on your windscreen during heavy rain on a motorway.

It still works, it still writes and still retains directions when I'm going long distance and the sat nav in my jacket would get wet and fry in minutes.
