Possibly the best boot I've ever worn! I have worn the Meindl equivalent of these boots and had my feet eaten alive by hot spots and pinching in all the wrong places. I am a UK size 10, with wide feet around the toes and narrow around the heels (a common British foot shape apparently). I'm not particularly flat footed or high arched. These boots grip the foot nicely around the mid foot, allowing plenty of room for toes to move. The heel and ankle is comfortably padded but very supportive. I have been wearing these boots for 6 months, with not one blister or hot spot and would have no hesitation in wearing them even with NATO black socks (although Bridgedales are my preference). Obviously not particularly waterproof, but still comfortable when we. It is a shame there is not a gortex version of this boot as well. Way better than the rest!
