Lowa Jungle Boot (Desert) - NON GTX

I received the pair of Lowa Jungle Boot – Desert from RVOps using their courier system, I received a text message telling me what day the courier would come and then another text message giving specific timings, a really good system for being at the gate to receive parcels if you Guardroom will not sign for them.

The boots were immediately comfortable after putting them on and the lacing system and round type laces remained tight and easy to adjust and remove.
The boots were lightweight and easy to break in and caused no problems for my feet using issue desert and temperate socks.
I used them for covering varying distances in Desert terrain over a month long exercise, the lightweight construction did not compromise the support for my ankles while carrying weight.
I was especially pleased the sole unit was thick enough to stop any discomfort from walking over rocky ground and the 4 ventilation holes on each boot allowed my feet to breathe as required and did not allow a build up of moisture in my socks, potentially leading to fungal infections and foot complications. In a wetter environment, the ventilation holes will allow ditch water to drain from the boot in a very quick fashion and will add to the boots ability to dry out.
I’m very happy with the boot and its features, if you like Altberg Desert Boots, I would seriously consider trying the Lowa Jungle – Desert.
I’ve been issued a number of different hot weather boots over the years and have used them in anger in various rubbish deserts. The balance of robustness, comfort and the lighter weight of this boot have really impressed me. Nice one Lowa and thank you for the service from RVOps.
