Absolutely hoofing bit of kit. Was bought with the view of struggling on those long load carrys with heavy weight. Subsequently hit the hills for a few days to trial it out, and was amazed at how comfortable the normally agonising several hour long yomps flew by with no pain at all. The padding that is offered in the waist strap helps to transfer the weight from the shoulders to the hips, and the fact that it has the adjustable back system is a major benefit for the shorter members of the armed services like my self. Also, space is no longer a problem either, the main pouch was barely half full after packing the bergen with usual field kit, and with all the various straps and side pouches, there are infinite possibilities on how to customise the bergen for ur specific needs.
