Army clothing
Because of overseas operational and exercise commitments, RVOps offer a variety of efficient and hard wearing military clothing and military equipment. Light weight, high wicking and comfortable base layers for either desert or arctic use are essential for comfort in the field. Whether your choice is Helly Hansen lifa, Under Armour cold gear or Under armour heat gear, even the Haglofs Actives round neck coupled with your Montane Extreme Smock you can feel reassured that the performance will be exceptional & thorough. Helly Hansen Lifa tops and Haglofs Bungy or Haglofs Micro vests have been a firm favourite in temperate and Arctic zones, whereas Under Armour cold gear and heat gear is outstanding in a variety of temperatures and areas.
If your military role within the armed forces dictates that you are vehicle borne, then the more bulky Montane Extreme smock, Montane Pro Extreme smock, Snugpak Pile shirt, Snugpak Sasquatch, Snugpak Blizzard or the Helly Hansen Hairy bear (Lausanne) would be worth considering. If bulk and weight are still in the forefront of your mind then the following jackets from Montane and Snugpak could include the Snugpak Sleeka Elite, Snugpak Sleeka or Montane Pro Bivvy Jacket. In the field and need a light weight solution? Most of us have been there, on the back of a Chinook, stuck in the back of transport or on sentry with a cold wind blowing. It’s at this point whether you’re on operations in Afghanistan or on Salisbury plain on exercise that you reach for your apple sized Montane Featherlite windproof jacket. This small compact 100% windproof pertex jacket should be every service man and woman’s first choice for keeping out of the wind. Midweight and lightweight jackets we stock include the Montane Pro Featherlite smock or Montane Thermosmock.
Haglofs clothing is rapidly becoming the service personnel’s favourite. Haglofs for many years have represented the cream of Scandinavian outdoor clothing. Their range of subdued colours fit well into the RVOps military range of military clothing. Haglof's make the highest quality clothing for the true professional. So remember, whether its black special forces clothing, military desert clothing or just plain simple, “about town” clothing, Haglofs raises the barrier on quality, hard wearing military outdoor clothing. The iconic Haglofs Spitz and Haglofs Couloir represent the very best in technical innovation and quality. The Haglofs Barrier Jacket whilst lightweight and folds into its own pocket has awesome warmth to weight ratios and combined with the Haglofs Micro top or vest will give the user excellent clothing layers.
Military Socks.
RVOps sell 3 brands of sock, Bridgedale, Smartwool and Sealskinz. Bridgedale Socks compliment our military boots at RVOps. A firm favourite and worn with military boots by many personnel. Feedback from our broad range of military customers, including Army, Navy and Royal Air Force, say that Smartwool socks perform well in harshest of military conditions. The choice of Smartwool socks will vary. If you you’re on military operations in the desert or patrolling in the jungle we would advise the Smartwool Hiking Ultra Light Crew. If you’re on exercise in the UK your choice could be as varied as the Hiking Light Crew for hot summers, through to the Hiking Heavy Crew for exercise in winter. The best selling Smartwool sock is the Hiking Medium Crew, which as Smartwool socks go, is a popular all rounder.

Berets.
Military Berets for service personnel....it goes without saying. However, there is a definite difference between quality military berets and sub standard military berets. AT RVOps our military berets are first rate, leather banded and manufactured to the highest standard. So if you’re serving in the Army with the Air Corps (AAC), Military Police (RMP), Loggies (RLC), the Engineers (RE), Tankies (RTR), the Artillery (RA), KRH or Para’s or with the Navy, Royal Marines, RAF or Cadets we have a beret for you.
Multicam/MTP.
If you have been hiding under a rock you won’t have noticed the MTP/Multicam revolution. What’s the difference between MTP and Multicam?
Multicam is manufactured and owned by CRYE precision. MTP (Multi-Terrain pattern) is a patented MOD pattern derived and similar to that of CRYE precisions Multicam. In respect of the look to the patterns there’s hardly a noticeable difference between MTP & Multicam. MTP has the same colours and size of shapes, but has a bit of the old DPM elongated splash style mixed in to maintain the UK forces identity. RVOps now supply Multicam products (CRYE precision), equipment such as the Sleeka reversible multicam jacket, vertx multicam trousers, multicam grab bags, multicam rank slides & multicam blood group patches. We also sell high quality camogrom products (Polish multicam) including baseball caps, SF Bush hats, Ubacs shirts, SFU trousers and the ECWCS waterproofs.

Our rank slides are manufactured to a high standard and we have a selection of different rank slides ranging from Lcpl in ukdpm, Corporal, multicam Sergeant, Staff / Colour Sergeant through to desert Lt & Colonel – these come in multicam, desert dpm or ukdpm. We also have Velcro backed UBAC’s rank slides in 2 colours.
Hats and Gloves.
From hats came beanies. Everyone loves beanies apart from officers (and paras) who insist that it doesn't matter how cold and non-tactical the situation is, you must be in a beret or helmet and unlucky to anyone that goes down with hypothermia. Beanies or the technical term acrylic watch hat come in all manner of styles from standard green or black beanies made of wool to the polartec lined all singing ones like the Haglofs wind cap. Keep your napper/swede/head warm and dry with the Sealskinz beanie or if you need a hat a bit more substantial then RV Ops stock the Terra Nova Ice Cap/Hat from their extremities range.
RV Ops stock a number of different gloves for different situations; tactical gloves, warmers gloves and waterproof gloves. Tactical gloves include the popular Oakley Si assault glove or the Under Armour Blackout glove for ops or exercise. Sealskinz waterproof gloves are vital when trying to protect your hands from prolonged wet periods. SealSkinz ultra grip gloves can be worn with an under glove like the thermal liner glove. The Extremities range from Terra Nova includes the Polartec Sticky Power stretch, Power stretch gloves and the Polartec sticky thicky. Thin enough to maintain dexterity whilst handling a weapon or equipment but whilst keeping your hands toasty. A good under glove is the thermal liner thinny glove.
